FAQ's

What does the student need for online tutoring?

The main requirement is a device that is fitted with a microphone and camera. This allows us to see and talk with you the same way as we would in a classroom. It’s also important to have a stable internet connection. You can check this by googling internet speed test. Anything upwards of 5 Mbps is great. 

Is a stylus/apple pencil required?

Although it is useful, it is not required. Many of our students prefer to write notes or complete their workings in their physical books. The benefit of having a stylus/apple pen though, is the ability to write with us in live time – almost like we are writing on the same piece of paper together. Without it though, you can trust our teaching strategies will make sure student learning is being checked thoroughly.

Do you cater to students with learning difficulties?

We have vast experience working with students with all types of learning difficulties. We will always work with you and health professionals you may have engaged to maximise session time and learning. At present, we support students who experience difficulties due to (and not limited to): ADHD, Autism, dyscalculia, dyslexia, dysgraphia and Auditory Processing Disorder.

How do I know teachers are qualified?

During the hiring process, teachers are required to provide their teacher registration and evidence of their working with children check. The hiring process is very thorough and we only make sure we get great teachers on our team.

How is the progress of a student monitored?

Our interactive whiteboards offer students a dedicated space to tackle practice questions and exams, even outside of session times. This allows us to evaluate their performance with real-time insights gathered during sessions. If we notice any challenges, we'll communicate promptly and provide personalised recommendations to help students improve based on their unique needs.

What if there are technical issues during a session?

Any time that may be missed due to technical issues will always be made up for at times that suit both teacher and student. These issues rarely arise given that we all have up to date technology, but any time will be made up for should it be missed.
